HB 200                                                                       
A message dated May 16, 1995, was read stating the Senate has passed           
HB 200 with the following amendment:                                           
                                                                               
Page 2, lines 15-17:                                                           
Delete all material.                                                          
Insert:  "* Sec. 3.  AS 39.25.120(c) is amended by adding a new             
subsection to read:                                                            
                                                                               
	(19) Guards employed by the Department of Corrections,                     
other than in state correctional facilities, to carry out the                  
responsibility of the Commissioner of Corrections under AS                     
33.30.071(b);"                                                               
                                                                               
And so, the following is transmitted for consideration:                        
                                                                               
HOUSE BILL NO. 200 am S                                                       
"An Act reassigning responsibility for the custody of persons                 
pending their arraignments, commitment to the custody of the                   
commissioner of corrections, or admission to a state correctional              
facility, and authorizing the commissioner of corrections to employ            
guards for emergencies on the same basis as the commissioner of                
public safety, as partially exempt service employees; and providing            
for an effective date."                                                        
                                                                               
Representative Vezey moved that the House concur in the Senate                 
amendment to HB 200, thus adopting HB 200 am S, and recommended                
that the members vote yes.                                                     
                                                                               
The question being:  "Shall the House concur in the Senate amendment           
to HB 200?"  The roll was taken with the following result:

HB 200 am S.                                                                   
                                                                               
Representative Vezey moved and asked unanimous consent that the                
roll call on the passage of the bill be considered the roll call on the        
effective date clause.  There being no objection, it was so ordered.           
                                                                               
The Chief Clerk was instructed to so notify the Senate.                        
                                                                               
HB 200 am S was referred to the Chief Clerk for enrollment.
